The answer to this question is simple ..when you are ready with the budget and when you have surveyed what brand will suits your need and requirement or from others testimonial.
Some people bought it at the third trimester, some much earlier because it is comfortable to do early shopping as you could imagine we have to walk like more than one hour in a shopping mall with big belly..I try to avoid big mid year or year end sale..or whatever sale during pregnancy, coz others tend to ignore pregnant women :-(
Therefore, just wait for the right time, wear a comfortable shoe and pants...and do your shopping spree
I wash all my equipment and sterilized it before the first used, you can use a pill or put it inside a pot with warm water and then let it dry. We need to read carefully the manual instruction before use because there are some part that can't be boiled.
Please don't be intimidated by this entry..breastfeeding is not too complicated :-)
